The BBC has just announced that The Duchess of Cambridge has been taken into hospital in the early stages of labour with her third child.
According to Kensington Palace, Catherine was taken into the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in London central on Monday morning.
Since her last royal visit to a charity lunch in London on March 22nd, Catherine has been on maternity leave.
Catherine travelled by car from Kensington Palace to St Mary's with The Duke of Cambridge.
Behind Prince Charles, Prince William and her siblings Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, aged two, the baby will be fifth in line to the throne.
Announced in October, the baby was expected to arrive in April.
Catherine, 35, during her two prior pregnancies, has suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, or severe morning sickness.
The baby will be the Queen's sixth great-grandchild.
