Moderate wine drinkers have smaller waists and less abdominal fat than those that drink liquor. Alcohol can potentially encourage your body to burn additional calories for as much as 90 minutes after you have a glass. Beer effects the body in a similar way.

3. Boost your body's defence's

Did you know that in one British study, people that consumed around a glass of wine a day reduced by around 11% their chances of becoming infected by Helicobacter pylori bacteria, a significant cause of stomach cancers, ulcers, gastritis, and stomach cancers. As little as half a glass might prospectively guard against food poisoning caused by germs such as salmonella, when individuals are exposed to foods that are contaminated, a Spanish study suggests.
